There are many reasons why it is important to make prototypes of our new designs. A prototype is the first full-scale and usually functional form of a new design. Whether you are designing furniture, a musical instrument or any random product, prototyping is a cheap, fast and easy way of bringing our ideas to life. Highlighted below are some of the main reasons why we would use prototypes.
Tá cuid mhór fathanna go bhfuil sé tábhachtach fréamhshamhailtí a dheanamh dár ndearaí nua. Is é an fréamhshamhail an chéad fhoirm den dearadh nua a bhíonn ar an scála iomlán agus gur féidir úsáid a bhaint as.Cé acu atá tú ag dearadh troscáin no gléas ceoil nó tairge ar bith, is dóigh shaor, ghasta agus furasta é fréamhshamhailtiú lenár smaointe a thabhairt chun solais.Faoi seo tá na príomh fáthanna gur cheart duinn úsaid a bhaint as fréamhshamhailtí.
Shape/form - Gives you a better idea of the overall shape & form.
Proportion - Gives you a better idea of the overall size.
Ergonomics - Is it comfortable to use, hold etc.
Problem Solving - when prototyping we may encounter some problems in the make stage that we hadn't thought about during the design stage. It is better to encounter these problem now, than at a letter stage.
Refine you design - If we encounter any problems, it is easier to refine and alter our designs at this stage.
Templates - A cheap, fast and easy way of experimenting & creating shapes for your designs.
Crot/Foirm - Tugann sé tuairim níos fearr duit den chrot agus den fhoirm iomlán
Coibhneas - Tugann sé tuairim níos fearr duit den mhéid iomlán.
Eirgeanamaíocht - An bhfuil sé compordach le úsaid, greim a fháil air.
Fadhb a réiteach - Tá seans go mbeidh fadhbanna ag an am seo nuair atá an obair ar siúl nár smaoinigh muid orthu nuair a bhí an dearadh ar siúl. Is fearr aghaidh a thabhairt orthu ag an am seo.
Déan an dearadh a fhoirfiú - Má éiríonn fadhbanna ta sé níos furasta iad a réiteach ag an am seo agus an dearadh a athrú.
Teimpléid - Is slí saor, gasta agus furasta é le triail a bhaint as rudaí agus crotanna a chrúthú don dearadh.
